Changes I’ve Made During The COVID-19 Season

I thrive on change. I love exploring and finding new adventures. Even though I work at home during the workweek, Matt and I rarely spend a weekend at home, you can typically find us out somewhere at a nearby theme park or local attraction.

So in March when the pandemic began, it was incredibly challenging to stay home. Matt’s last day of work was March 19th and he’s been home since then. It is now mid-July and I can count on one hand the amount of times we’ve left our home and actually gone out in public. While I realize that much of our country is open and out and about, Florida is in a terrible position. With over 15,000 new coronavirus cases just today, I’m not taking any risks.

This has been a difficult season. I’ve had good days and bad, but more recently, I’ve felt more adjusted to our new normal. I haven’t been posting much here or on social media {I uploaded a few YouTube videos, watch here} because I have been focusing on serving my clients, writing a new online program {can’t wait to share soon!} and I did something I’ve been wanting to do for over a decade…

I became a 200 hour Yoga Teacher registered with the Yoga Alliance!

I cannot tell you how excited I am to type that. Yoga has been a part of my life for 16 years. It has helped me get through injuries from car accidents and performing, and taught me how to find balance – both mentally and physically. Becoming a yoga teacher has been a goal of mine for several years, but I’ve never had the time to do it. I am so grateful I finally took the leap and went for it. The pandemic made my training a bit different than normal, but it’s been an incredible journey. Adding yoga teacher training to my health coaching certification, plant based cooking certification, and transformational coaching method will allow me to serve my clients from a multifaceted whole-being wellness perspective.

This pandemic has been challenging, but it has shown me what is truly valuable in life. That may sound cheesy, but when you get still and find time to pause, you become consciously aware of your heart’s deepest desires.

Sending you all my love and well wishes. Stay safe…wear a mask. xx
