[dropcap custom_class=”big”]Happy Friday!! {and Labor Day weekend to all my American friends!} My goodness August flew by…but it was full of many fun memories for me. Matt and I visited Charleston to spend time with his family, we went to Disney World with my cousin and her daughter, and we started packing for our move in just a few weeks! AH. I am not even closeeee to being ready yet. Anyone wanna come help me pack?? đŸ˜‰

If you watched my most recent summer to fall transitional outfit styling video {if not here’s the link}, you may have noticed that I’m really into these leopard pumps at the moment. Leopard is one of my favorite prints to wear during the fall season. It can add additional depth and interest to an outfit, but it’s also classic enough to mix with other patterns, such as stripes. Neither one of these prints are over the top or too busy, making them a great pair. When I mix prints, I prefer wearing one to two solid pieces within the look, such as this solid red skirt and denim jacket. The solid color helps the print combination not feel overbearing and the denim jackets adds texture to the look. You could mix stripes with either polka dots or plaid in a similar way. Simple floral patterns work well with stripes, too, as long as they’re within the same color scheme. When pairing prints always think about the color scheme and try not to wear too many colors at once.

But with saying all of this, don’t overthink it and do what you feel most comfortable in. What matters most is that you feel confident and true to your personal style. If you feel your best wearing a head-to-toe fancy floral suit with a leopard print bag + striped scarf, go for it! I’ll support you 100% no matter. xx
