One of the best parts about living in Orlando is the seemingly endless amounts of hotels and resorts to visit when Matt and I are in search for a unique date. The great part is, most area hotels don’t require you to be a hotel guest to experience the dining options, spas, or lounges they have to offer. For example, Capa at the Four Seasons is a great spot for tapas with incredible views, and the Waldorf Astoria’s pristine spa is the perfect spot for an indulgent massage or facial – complete with a relaxing tea lounge & steam room to enjoy after your treatment.

Matt and I love love exploring the various resorts at Walt Disney World and I’m always up for a day at Disney’s Boardwalk Resort. It’s the ideal spot for a leisurely stroll along the turn-of-the-century inspired promenade, reminiscent of Atlantic City or Coney Island. I adore its whimsical charm and alluring pastel colored cottages. It immediately feels like you’re stepping back in time.

I wore the Zelda dress from Gal Meets Glam Collection {a holiday release last seen in this post here} for our day at Boardwalk. The vintage-inspired polka dots and flirty pink ruffles felt perfect for the occasion and I received many compliments on it throughout the day. It’s one of my favorite dresses in my closet so I’m always happy when I get the chance to wear it.

Since we were doing a lot of walking, I paired it with my white Superga sneakers for comfort. These sneakers are clean and classic, making them ideal for pairing with dresses.

There are several shops, dining options, and entertainment to choose from at the Boardwalk. And at night you can catch various street performers like jugglers and others you’d expect to see at a carnival. It’s a truly a one-of-a-kind experience!

And if you’re craving a sweet treat there’s more than enough choices. Grab an ice cream from Ample Hills Creamery, a key lime tart at the Boardwalk Bakery, or a fresh funnel cake at the food cart to enjoy as you walk around. For an adult-only treat, my personal favorite is the Frozen Grand Margarita at the Boardwalk Joe’s Marvelous Margaritas food cart.

If you’re a Florida local or visiting the area, I highly recommend checking out Disney’s Boardwalk. But just a heads up, there is a three hour parking limit. Also, I imagine it will become much more crowded once Disney’s Skyliner {the new gondola transportation system} begins this fall since one of the access points is located nearby!
