4 Ways to Style a Sweater Blazer

Blazers are a wardrobe staple that I always have in my closet and this sweater blazer is one that I reach for most, especially during transitional months between seasons. I’ve styled this sweater blazer in many videos and blog posts (here, here, and here are just a few examples) and it’s such a versatile piece that can be worn season after season. The unstructured fit is comfortable without feeling too stuffy, yet it makes any outfit look incredibly polished and sleek.

Here are four ways you can style this sweater blazer during the transitional months

Over Summer Dresses

This is one of my favorite ways to wear this blazer. Living in Florida, the weather stays pretty warm during the transitional months, however, most places turn the A/C down so I’m always cold indoors. This blazer is the perfect lightweight layer to pair with my favorite summer sundresses (like this swing dress from Amazon) to keep warm. I like to wear it with my go-to white sneakers and tote bag for an easy everyday look.

Elevate Loungewear

Last year we all became accustomed to wearing loungewear regularly and this sweater blazer is the perfect way to make your comfy clothes look more elevated. The open front and sleeve length make this blazer have a more casual feel, while still looking professional. Pair it with a simple pair of joggers, crisp white tee, and relaxed sandals for an easy dressed down, work-from-anywhere outfit. I love these joggers because they are made with a luxe cotton-cashmere blend giving them a slight dressier appearance and feel.

With a Chic Slip Dress

A slip dress is such a chic style for date night or a fun evening out. I always grab a sweater when I wear sleeveless dresses and this blazer pairs beautifully with the sleek, simple silhouette of a slip dress. Throw on your favorite pair of heels and statement earrings and you’re good to go!

Dress Up Denim

You can never go wrong with a basic camisole and jeans. I wear my Halogen camis all the time. The v-neckline is flattering and they have adjustable straps making them easy to accommodate different heights (especially if you’re petite like me!). These straight leg jeans have a lived-in wash without any distressing, making them a nice option for dressing up or down. Because I’m only 5’, if I wear straight leg jeans I typically pair them with loafers or mules like these to elongate my legs. The pointed toe creates a lengthened appearance when you don’t want to wear heels.
