It may be basic but a classic white tee is one of my top wardrobe staples. A white tee can be worn casually with a great pair of jeans, layered under your favorite cardigan or slipdress, or dressed up paired with a mini skirt and over-the-knee boots for a night out. They’re effortless and immediately make way for you to play with accessories or draw attention to a new pair of heels you want to show-off.

When shopping for this classic, look for fabrics that will hold their shape. I look for cotton fabrics that are opaque with flattering sleeves – not too short but not too long {this can be difficult considering I’m 5’0. I use The White Detergent and the Fabric Conditioner by The Laundress to help keep them from stretching and becoming yellowed (which happens to white fabrics when over-bleached).
