Skirts are one of my favorite clothing items to wear in any season…but there’s something special about the styles that hit stores at the beginning of spring. The beautiful pastel colors, interesting textures, and fun floral prints are a welcome addition to brighten any wardrobe after the cold winter months.

The Midi Skirt

Midi skirts are the style I wear most often. I love their versatility and comfort. To me, midi skirts are a classic silhouette that feel timeless yet modern. Dress them up for work with a button-up blouse, chic scarf, and heels like I wore here, or pair them with a cute cotton tee on the weekends. It’s a style that can be easily transformed day to night. {and one of the reasons I never travel without one!}

This tiered ruffle midi is playful without feeling too young and I adore the colors in this tulle option from Anthropologie. If you’re shopping for a skirt that will last year after year, I suggest investing in one like this silk midi by Rebecca Taylor. The floral print is understated enough to not feel overpowering or too memorable, and the button side slits give it versatility.

For more affordable options I recommend checking out Chicwish.com. They have a wide variety of styles and prints to choose from. I found this navy stripe with pink floral details and fell in love with the gorgeous structured fit, and I think this pastel floral design would be perfect for Easter or a spring wedding.
